I love animals and can take care of most of them (Dogs, Cats, Horses, Livestock, Small Animals, etc.)
Do my pets need to be current on their vaccines?
My preference would be that all of your pets are up to date on their vaccines as this is the best way to keep them healthy. I do not require up-to-date vaccinations if I am are taking care of your pet(s) within your home and your pet(s) will not be leaving the house. However, I do require that your dog be current on their DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosus Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus), Bordetella (Kennel Cough), and Rabies vaccine if I will be taking them on any dog walks, or have our "leader of the pack" Talon, come to your home for play-dates.
How will you access my home?
During your initial consultation I will review your options. If you provide me with a key, please be assured that your home and your pet's safety and security are a priority to me and as such all keys are coded and kept in a locked safe away from any identifying information.
Will photo's of my pet be shared?
I love welcoming new pets into the "Extended Family" and sharing them on my social media sites; however during our initial consultation we will discuss your comfort level and you will have the option to "opt-out". Please note that any picture I take will never be Geo-Tagged, nor will it have any identifying landmarks to reveal your location. Also I will never include anything in the picture that would be considered valuable (except your pet of course) that might entice thieves.
When do I pay?
All payments are due at the beginning of each service.
What form of payments do you accept?
I accept cash and personal check (please note a $35 fee will be charged if the check is returned, regardless of the reason).
Do you charge extra for Holidays?
Yes.
Are there cancellation fees?
I understand that situations can change and as such I will refund 100% if you cancel at least (14) days in advance for any Pet Care. Because I may have turned away other clients to accommodate your booking I reserve the right, depending on the situation, to charge a 30% cancellation fee if the cancellation happens within (7) days of start of service. If you cancel any of my other services within 24 hours, I reserve the right, depending on the situation, to not refund your pre-paid fee. Continual cancellations within a 60-day period may force us to shake paws and go our separate ways.
What happens if there is an animal Emergency?
During your free consultation we will discuss your pets health, medical needs and establish an emergency plan in the event that your pet becomes ill or injured. In the event of an emergency, if simple pet first aid is not enough, I will do my best to contact you first and alert you of the situation. If I cannot reach you, I will contact and/or transport your animal to the veterinary you have listed on our paperwork. In the event thaI cannot get to your vet, I will transport your pet to the nearest emergency animal hospital. All medical fees incurred are the responsibility of the owner, plus caregiver mileage reimbursement (calculated at $.55 per mile from your home and back) and a flat fee of $35/hour.
